  • Dues Information

    Annual membership dues are due by December 31 of each year. Applications received after January 31 are prorated on a monthly basis for state and national dues, and on a quarterly basis for local dues. Primary membership dues for Sumner REALTORS® include dues to Tennessee REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®.

    $120 Tennessee REALTORS® Dues
    $201 National Association of REALTORS®
    $25 RPAC Option Contribution

    Total Dues = $586

    New members are also assessed a one-time $250 application fee. This fee is not required for REALTORS® transferring membership.

    Dues are non-refundable.

  • Application Process

    This application is the first stage in becoming a REALTOR® member of Sumner REALTORS®. Applicants who have submitted an application, paid dues and fees are considered provisional status until New Member Orientation has been completed. You must complete New Member Orientation (held regularly in the association office) before this application is approved and your membership is activated. Current REALTOR® members in good standing applying for secondary membership or transferring primary membership to Sumner REALTORS® are not required to take New Member Orientation.

  • I hereby apply for REALTOR® membership and agree to abide by the Code of Ethics of the National Association of REALTORS®, including the obligation to arbitrate any existing or future disputes with another member in accordance with the association's arbitration procedures. I understand that, after the initial requirement, I will be required to complete a Code of Ethics course within specified 3-year cycles. I further agree to satisfactorily complete the Sumner REALTORS® New Member Orientation course within 90 days of submitting my application.

    I also agree to abide by the Constitution, Bylaws, Rules and Regulations of Sumner REALTORS®, Tennessee REALTORS®, and the National Association of REALTORS®, which are made available to me at the office of Sumner REALTORS® and online at their respective websites.

    I irrevocably waive all claims against the association or any of its officers, directors or members, for any acts in electing or failing to elect, advancing, suspending, expelling, or otherwise disciplining me as an applicant or as a member. Upon the expiration of said membership for any cause, I will discontinue use of the term REALTOR® and all certificates, signs, seals or other indications of membership in the National Association of REALTORS®. I consent that the association, through its Membership Committee or otherwise, may invite and receive other information and comment about me from any member or other person, and I further agree that any information and comment furnished to the association by any person in response to the invitation shall be conclusively deemed to be privileged and not form the basis of any action by me for slander, libel or defamation of character.

    I understand membership brings certain privileges and obligations that require compliance. I agree that, if accepted for membership in the association, I shall pay the fees and dues. I understand that should I not complete the New Member Orientation course within the prescribed time period from the date of my application, I will be automatically dropped as an applicant for membership and that there will be no refund of any portion of the fees paid. I hereby certify that the foregoing information furnished by me is true and correct, and I agree that failure to provide complete and accurate information as requested, or any misstatement of fact, shall be grounds for revocation of my membership if granted.
    Note: Payments to Sumner REALTORS® are not deductible as charitable contributions. Such payments, however, may be deductible as an ordinary and necessary business expenditure.

    By signing below, I consent the REALTOR® associations (local, state, national) and their subsidiaries, if any (e.g. MLS, foundations, etc.) may contact me at the specified address, telephone numbers, fax numbers, email address or other means of communication available. This consent applies to changes in contact information that may be provided by me to the association(s) in the future.

    I further acknowledge that if I am accepted as a member and subsequently resign from the association or otherwise cause membership to terminate with an ethics complaint pending, the association may condition my membership upon renewal certification that I submit to the pending ethics proceeding and will abide by the decision of the hearing panel. I understand that the duty to submit to arbitration continues in effect even after membership lapses or is terminated, provided the dispute initiated while I was a REALTOR®.
