• AFFILIATE Application



    An affiliate member is defined as an individual who is not licensed to sell real estate, but who has interests in the real estate profession. These individuals may join Sumner REALTORS® as an Affiliate Member. Affiliate membership belongs to the representative from the company who submits an application. The first person from the company to submit an application will be the Primary Member and they pay the Primary membership dues rate of $400. Any other members of an office that join after the initial member will only pay $50 each and are considered Secondary Members. Affiliate membership dues are due on December 31 of each year; however, Primary Member applications received after July 1 are only required to pay half price for the second half of the year, but Secondary Member applicants pay $50 each, as Secondary Memberships are not prorated, but are instead a flat fee.

  • To Sumner REALTORS®, I hereby apply for affiliate membership and am enclosing payment for the current year’s dues. My dues will be returned to me in the event of non-election.

    In the event of my election, I agree to abide by the Constitutions, Bylaws, and Rules and Regulations of Sumner REATLORS®, Tennessee REALTORS®, and the National Association of REALTORS®, which are made available to me at the office of Sumner REALTORS® and online at their respective websites.

    I further agree that my act of paying dues shall evidence my initial and continuing commitment to abide by the aforementioned Constitutions, Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, all as from time to time amended. I irrevocably waive all claims against the association or any of its officers, directors, or members, for any acts in electing or failing to elect, advancing, suspending, expelling or otherwise disciplining me as an applicant or as a member. Upon the expiration of said membership for any cause, I will return to the association all certificates, signs, seals or other indications of membership in the association. I consent that the association, through its Membership Committee or otherwise, may invite and receive other information and comment about me from any member or other person, and I further agree that any information and comment furnished to the association by any person in response to the invitation shall be conclusively deemed to be privileged and not form the basis of any action by me for slander, libel or defamation of character.

    Affiliate members shall not use the terms REALTOR®, REALTORS®, or REALTOR® Associate, nor the imprint of the emblem seal of the National Association of REALTORS®, understand membership brings certain privileges and obligations that, if accepted for membership in the association, I shall pay the fees and dues as from time to time established.

    I hereby certify that the foregoing information furnished by me is true and correct, and I agree that failure to provide complete and accurate information as requested, or any misstatement of fact, shall be grounds for revocation of my membership if granted. Note: Payments to Sumner REALTORS® are not deductible as charitable contributions. Such payments, however, may be deductible as an ordinary and necessary business expenditure.

    By signing below I consent the REALTOR® associations (local, state, national) and their subsidiaries, if any (e.g. MLS, Foundations, etc.) may contact me at the specified address, telephone numbers, fax numbers, e-mail address or other means of communication available. This consent applies to changes in contact information that may be provided by me to the association(s) in the future. This consent recognizes that certain state and federal laws may place limits on communications I am waiving to receive all communication as part of my membership.
